Location: India | Some important notes1) There is no online solving for this contest 2) There is no instant grading for this contest 3) In the submission page, first select the number of solutions (0 or 1 or >1 ). 4) If you leave the text box blank for Sudokus with 1 solution, it will not be considered as submitted. Here is how the submission page looks like

Classics & Regions (PR 2016/17) Author Posts: 170 Location: Germany | Thanks, that was fun! And I confirmed what I was afraid of, I don't just notice errors... Suppose I'll have to "bite the sour apple" and check correct or non-unique solutions carefully.

Suppose I'll have to "bite the sour apple" and check correct or non-unique solutions carefully. Wait, scratch that. I saw I'd marked both of my errors as "multiple solutions", and found actual errors in both of them. Which seems like a likely mistake to make. But it seems the puzzles actually both have a unique solution and i made proper solving mistakes... Can anyone confirm that grids 1 and 11 have unique solutions?

Posts: 225 Location: Thailand | Thanks for the contest. I liked how ones with multiple solutions had to be nearly-solved. Finally, some use for those nearly-complete-but-broken sudoku puzzles that had to be tossed away ;) PS: Unfortunately, I think this test is really easy to cheat using solving programs. (I highly recommend that admins weed out cheaters)

Nice Practice Test. Solving Sudoku upto last cell even to determine its multiple solution was nice. No solution sudokus were easily found with few clues placed. Overall very nice Sudokus. But I wish I could have more time just to complete the test and feel that moment. But looking forward to WSC round.

I really liked the different sort of challenge in this contest. The possibility of multiple or no solutions really encourages clean, logical solving rather than intuition (or guessing) which I enjoy. As always, I would have liked a bit more time but I've never been especially speedy...
