Hmm, I know it's too late to change things now, but I'm not so happy about the design of the answer keys. Why make the answer key different for Bosnian road vs. Bosnian snake? Clearly in Heyawacky you wouldn't need to ask for the lengths of the "groups" of black cells (always 1) if you didn't want to have a uniform answer key system for all shading puzzles, so why throw that away for Bosnian road? (The answer key isn't consistent with the other loop puzzles either since those only ask for the longest segment, not for all segments). I feel that we're just going to get very confused.Denis

This is a valid point. The answer key for Bosnian Road will be made consistent with other loop puzzles and this will be updated in the IB and PB.

What was your opinion of the distribution of easy/hard puzzles? Just right
What did you think about the puzzle quality of the test? Very nice

What was your opinion of the booklet formatting and printing? Just right

Very nice test. Heyawacky 3 is my favorite for the amazing break-in. I need to figure out a logical solution for Yin-Yang 3. But in general, all puzzles are of high quality, with pleasing aesthetics (Yin Yang 2, Lakes 1, Bosnian Road 3, Lakes Loop 2) and nice solving paths.

This was a beautiful set of puzzles. I got a bit lucky with guessing but the solving paths are just fantastic.
Perfect balance of puzzle difficulty and types.

I think this is easily my favourite PR round across the two years.

Great job and thanks a lot Walker! Looking forward to more of your puzzles in the coming years !!!

I have doubt for Lakes Loop. It says that "draw a single closed loop that does not touch or cross itself". Here what does NOT touching mean here?

"NOT touching" means not touching at a point. If this restriction is not there, then the loop can possibly touch at a point in a cell.

Fun test, as are all of the Puzzle Ramayan series. It is satisfying to finish more puzzles within the time limit. I also enjoy the intructionless puzzles (none on this set). Looking forward to the next one.

In Heyawacky, does "the white area cannot span across 2 consecutive borders (thick lines)" mean a horizontal or vertical segment of white cells cannot be in more than 2 regions?

That was fun, thanks Walker! There was no time to appreciate the solving paths unfortunately, I'll have to go through the set again. But the puzzles certainly all looked pretty.

Apart from the first one, Almost Simple Loop felt more like Outside Yajilin. I thought Bosnian Snake was a bit of an odd choice as a shading puzzle, particularly with Bosnian Road in the second part. Speaking of Bosnian Road, it would have been nice to avoid the differing notions of loop length for the answer code.

Assuming Lake Loop is original (I don't remember seeing it), that one might have been a fun instructionless puzzle, too, though I guess it not being a variant of another of the loop puzzles is an argument against.

Excellent set of puzzles.
Exactly suitable for PR environment. Thanks to author and LMI for conducting this test.

Apart from 10min waste of time at start due to printer issue, everthing else went smooth. I really enjoyed the test. I am happy I completed the set, after missing the completion of 1st PR round closely.

YinYang 3 was the one which took most of my time. Rest all were smooth solve.
Heyawake was nice logic. Fortunately i created some Heyawake with similar logic so found it quickly.

Thanks for the sprint test :)
I think Lakes Loop is the same as Nurikabe Loop (Akil Oyunlari Magazine Competition), no?
Most of these were intuitive types - so I think guessing is probably more efficient than finding logical paths.
