I believe the Tripod puzzle in instructions booklet has multiple solutions.
I got the same region outlines and filled the 6 rows as follows: 132546/524631/346125/465312/251463/613254

The tripod sudoku in the competition will have a single solution anyway.

Does it have any reason, why it starts so late? usually it starts earlier.

Hi,

I just noticed what seems to be a small mistake in the answer form: the tripod is announced to be using digits from 1 to 8 but the expected answer seems to be 9 digits long.

I just realized that I made a mistake. Alberto wanted to start the contest at 12:00 AM Italian time. I assumed he wanted to start at 12:00 PM.
So the contest starts now. (2 hours earlier than LMI usually starts.). There won't be any change in ending time.

Online Solving not available for Tight Fit and Tripod sudoku

Link for online solving : http://logicmastersindia.com/2013/06S2/?online=1

As noted earlier contests, the flash online solving will only allow you to mark / unmark 1-9 on the grids. There is no feature to mark anything else.

Based on previous LMI tests, we think most serious players will solve on paper and not use the online solving interface. However, if you are one of those who plan to use online solving, you must practice first solving the examples using the online interface.

How balanced do you think the puzzle types of this test were? Fairly balanced
What was your opinion of the distribution of easy/hard puzzles? Just right
What did you think about the puzzle quality of the test? Fairly Nice
How did you feel about the length / time limit for this test? Just right
Of the puzzles you solved/attempted, how well did their point values reflect the difficulty/time spent? Most puzzles were worth the right amount
What was your opinion of the booklet formatting and printing? Just right

The tripod had much more worth than the rest. At least for me. Too much guessing and trying to fit the borders and that takes some time if you are just sudoku solver.

Thanks for a nice contest.
I really liked most of the puzzles and appreciate that there were many totally different types.
But the point distribution was not so good. I have solved the puzzle nr. 24 (55 pts) six times due stupid mistakes, but it takes me still less than BBT sudoku (20 pts) or Coast to Coast (35 pts). Probably Three is a Crowd was the easiest variant of the whole contest.

Thanks a lot for a nice contest, although the puzzles were a bit too easy for my taste. I especially liked the design of the 1011 Sudoku, nicely done!

I would be interested to hear others' opinions on the points distribution on this test. I'm a pretty consistent competitor but certainly not fast enough to have a chance to get through more than about half of the puzzles on most tests within the time limit, so my gameplan is usually to use the points value of puzzles as a guide to decide which ones to try. Most of the time the points offered are pretty accurate - more points will generally mean a puzzle that takes me more time to complete, as it should be. But with this test I really felt like the points were often backwards. I spent a LONG time tackling several of the earlier puzzles that were 20 points or less, only to find after time was up that MANY of the puzzles worth a lot of points were FAR easier - including the 55 pointer which had no logical roadblocks along the solve at all! I know that comments like that are subjective, so I'd like to hear what other solvers' experiences were. Thanks to the constructors for the puzzles, though, they were fun... I was just a little disappointed this time with the points layout.
