Is the example for Latin Tapa wrong or am I not understanding the rules correctly? The clue in R3C4 does not seem to read WORD clockwise.

Yes, that clue should be "WDRO", compare https://maybepuzzles.files.wordpress.com/2014/03/latintapa-example.p... .

I have a question about Radar Tapa: Could there be a clue in the corner, which would imply that the diagonally adjacent cell is used by that clue?

No, clues will be only be in the centre and/or the edges for this variant (but corner clues are an obvious way to extend the idea).

Yes that is the plan as of now. The LMI schedule is pretty full right now so any potential delay to a particular contest may cause an overlap. We did consider that, to the general audience, having TVC this weekend would have caused an overlap with the Sudoku GP anyway, so we thought it will just be two contests on another weekend. We will also be making some extensions during overlap weekends, as announced for the SM Converse Round in its discussion thread.

Well, that was an interestingly long delay, but hey, puzzles.

Black Hole Tapa: Just as confirmation, black holes may touch/share a side, right? (Only applies if N >= 2, of course.)
Power of Tapa: I suppose a clue of 0 means it's just ignored? (Like the 2-0 clue at R2C1 having only a single segment of 2.)

Sure, there is not any restriction of touching, so you are right if N is bigger than 2, blackholes can touch each other from the side.

If the zero in clue R2C1 was the exponential power of 2, the clue would be 1, but in this case the clue as it seems, so it means 2-0, and it should be blackened just 2 adjacent cells.

Yeah, I meant the question is whether a 0 that is not in an exponential clue is just ignored ("0 adjacent cells"). Looks like yes.

A clarification of Lonely Tapa. The instruction says "each orthogonally connected are of empty cells can contain at most one clue cell." So if it says "at most" it means there might be some empty cell blocks that don't connect any clue cells, however in the example all empty cell blocks connect to exactly one clue. So, please check the new example, because there might appear some empty cell or blocks that doesn't have any connection with clue cells.

For Tapa 1-n, is it required that the numbers of cells in each row/column must be in the range 1-n (as the name seems to suggest)? Or can there be rows/columns with 0 shaded cells?

Sounds like Serkan's Tapa and Variations book is just what you're looking for: http://www.gmpuzzles.com/store/classic-and-variations-series

Otherwise the TVC archives provide plenty of practice material: http://logicmastersindia.com/TVC/

Why are all answers marked as wrong? (Or just all 7 people who have submitted so far did not get any correct answers, but I doubt that!)
