I was solving the IB exmaples and found Windoku sample a tough one, took more than 10 minutes, just wanted general opinion on its difficulty, if some top solvers can share thier timing !!

I would not say it is easy for an average solver, but I've seen ones that are a lot tougher than this one. Took me around 8 minutes for this one (and solvable logically, without a need for guesswork), but I am not a 'top solver' in Windoku :-)

I hope you use the Windoku 'extra-regions' rule: (Each set of same-coloured cells contains numbers 1-9 apart from the nine 3x3 boxes and four 3x3 regions)

Thanks Rohan, yes did make use of the extra region logic, but resorted to trial and error which did not go right !!

In the 9th box: you have a pair 28 next to the 5 (edges). Then at R9C7 in can only be 4 or 7. Then you can place the 1 in row 8 (considering that there isn't edge between R9C67, then 4 can't be placed at R9C6 ). You can place 1 and 4 in 8th box, then the 9 in row 8, etc...

I like how the N=3 works (I think that perhaps I'm the inventor of this variant?): You have to "think" digits into 3 groups: 1-4-7, 2-5-8 and 3-6-9. And in these groups 4, 5 and 6 play a central role.
Each N has it's own logic, perhaps you have to think about it for each N before the test

If you don't need the sudokus to be loaded in your browser for online solving, you may use the paper only link - http://logicmastersindia.com/M201112S/?paper=1

To proceed little further, check 20 at 3rd block can contain only 956, to avoid 56 coming consecutive, 9 has to be inbetween them at R1C8

Well the puzzling was fun, except I was too slow/late putting in the answers, so that was a bit lousy.

I think some hints in "sum or product frame" can be removed, like 15 in col5, 18 in row9, 15 in col9, 18 in col1, 10 in row8, 10 in row4, and the puzzle has unique solution too.
But maybe it will make participator much easier to find the point :)

The original puzzle didn't have the 4 inside clues. But then it was much harder. I added those 4 hints after Zoltan's testing, but I didn't check if I should remove some of the outside hints.

The score page has some bugs - points for Linked Mini is not computed for all, motris' row shows 0/18, and some players' score is missing completely. Allow me few hours to make the score page public after I fix the bugs.

Can someone post the solution to Outside Killer, if the test is now over? I'm really getting muddled up somewhere, even though I feel I've used solid logic am getting a column repeat.

As for the test, some really nice Sudokus. My best rank on LMI, so I'm quite happy with my performance even though I can still improve(my classics speed is horrible, believe it or not I took 3 min each for both the 25 point classic and the 80 point Nonconsecutive killer [:s] ).

Results are public now - Congratulations to janoslaw for winning Best of LMI Mocks. motris is close 2nd. Nikola takes the third position and also wins Serbian Championship.

Rohan, Prasanna and Tejal take the top 3 Indian ranks.

199 players participated, out of which 173 players submitted at least one sudoku correctly.

There were way too many submission mistakes this time, possibly because there were so many sudokus (usually we have 12, but this time we had 18). There is some leniency in accepting typos which in other tests had been rejected straightaway.

Thanks to Zoltan for all his help before/during/after the test, and also to Umit for creating a nice logo.

I wrote the steps of sum or product frame here.
And it seems 10 for r8c123 and 24 for r789c6 did not be used.
Maybe it will become a harder puzzle.
I like the logic in Block9 that r7c789,r8c789,r9c789 only one is product.

Thanks, I got where I went wrong :) Silly error of eliminating the 1 in R6C6 for no reason.
