SM 2020 (Math) Author Posts: 157 Location: India | Again , top class Sudokus. it's unfortunate that I made a submission error and also broke quadruple 9x9 not just once but thrice. Among all the three rounds , the third round was my favourite irrespective of the low score that I got in this . Looking forward to the finals .

SM 2020 (Converse and Odd Even) Author Posts: 51 Location: India | Wonderful set of classics and variants from the Organizers. Made mistakes in 9x9 Quadruple and one 6x6 Killer. However, managed to complete the set within time. Could have been better. Looking forward for ISKl finals, if shortlisted. Thanks for such wonderful set, it was fun solving them.

Mean Minis (2020) Author Posts: 774 Location: India | rakysh - 2017-01-21 2:17 PM What are the some strategy to solve thermo sudoku? Please reply (a) Look for longer thermometers. That will restrict the placement of digits in those cells. (b) If you get any cell on the thermometer, e.g. 5 in the middle of a thermometer, it immediately restricts the numbers to 1-4 for the bulb side and 6-9 for the other side. (c) Look at the possibilities for the bulb and the last cells in the thermometers. Sometimes we can get a start if the thermometer is, say, 5 cells long and we can eliminate 1,2,3,4 from the bulb. (Or, if we can eliminate 6,7,8,9 from the last cell). (d) You can pencilmark possibilities on the thermometer cells (e.g. 136); use <, > signs to indicate relationship between cells; or mark ranges for each cell (e.g. 1-4) (e) Most important - Do not forget to apply classic rules. Whenever any cell gets filled look at possibilities of filling other cells by classic rules also. Mainly, it is about getting the right starting point and getting the thermometer cells filled. Hope this helps. If anything is unclear, please ask again. Or better still, you can share any sudoku where you are stuck and need help.

Here is the link-http://logicmastersindia.com/2017/ISKL_Jan22_Part2/.It'll be immense help to me. Both Thermos have some break-ins looking for extremities. If a box is covered entirely by thermos remember that 1 can only appear in the bulb, and 6 (for 6x6) or 9 (for 9x9) can appear only at the ends. For example in the 6x6, the bottom right box, where can you place 1? In the 9x9, the middle left box, where can you place 9? Work the higher and lower limits and move towards the middle of the number series for the given Sudoku. That usually works to get started.
