A big thanks to Hemant and Swaroop for an enjoyable test.Broke the diagonal 9*9 very badly and took way too much time on it.. The quadruple 6*6 and the diagonal 9*9 were my favourites.Nice, challenging test.

Posts: 152 Location: United Kingdom | Greys on the extra region puzzles were much too dark to print out, this is basic stuff to get right given how long LMI has been doing contests! Interesting to note that both untouch puzzles were effectively also only half a puzzle each, given grid symmetries.

I was pleasantly surprised seeing my rank.I thought I started really bad when I struggled so much on the quadruple (9) which I initially assumed to be a 3 pointer for some reason . I was wondering what was going on with me.After guessing in it,I found the logic that I missed, somewhere in between and noticed the points too through the corner of my eye.Somewhat reassured with that,I did fast on the rest and things started going really well in the middle of the test.Finished the high pointers with relatively less effort. My favourites in order are Diagonal(12)(there was one particularly deduction involving 37 pencil mark in boxes 3 and 9.Don't know if it can be solved without that but the logic was super cool),Untouch(14) , Quadruple(7) and palindrome (12) I really enjoyed taking the test!Well done Swaroop and Hemant!!Set was really awesome.

Really a good set of puzzles. I really loved the mini quadruple. One thing I must mention is that the answer key could have been better identified. Not sure about others but for atleast 5 of the puzzles, I got the answer key while only half the puzzle had been solved.

A really good round. Even though untouch had 50 % higher weightage, i solved it at a better pace compared to quadruple 6x6. Overall my favourite is the palindrome 9x9 and diagonal 9x9.

SM 2020 (Converse and Odd Even) Author Posts: 51 Location: India | For a change I started with high pointer variants (9x9 grids) this time. Successfully completed 9x9 Diagonal and then took 9x9 Untouch, which probably was a wrong choice, I guess, as I wasted lot of time looking for a break. Got the 9x9 Extra Region easily and was on the way to finish the 9x9 Palindrome, but unfortunately made an error and lost it completely. With last few minutes remaining then I decided to pickup some points with 9x9 Classics. Barring my poor performance, I found the set really good. After the contest, I solved 6x6 Quadruple which to my surprise was created with superb logic and was substantiated by high point attributed to it... Thumbs Up to the Authors .. Hemant and Swaroop.
