Location: India | We will be having a Sudoku meet in Kolkata on 6th November 2016 from 2 pm onwards at Deshbandhu apartment. Flat no 1C. 15 A Harish Neogi Road. Kolkata 67. Near Ultadanga muchibazar bus stand.
We will be discussing and solving :
1) Two tough classic Sudokus
2) irregular sudoku
3) antiknight sudoku
4) combo sudoku
We will be discussing various tricks and strategies to solve these Sudokus. You could also ask any doubts regarding some other variants too.
If time permits, we can also have a playoff .
I will update about the number of participants for the meet tomorrow.

There is no permission required to start a meet. Effort needs to come from the local participants in terms of deciding a place and date and time and communicating it to the rest of the local solvers, and then taking the printouts needed. I had connected some delhi participants earlier via email but I am not sure if anything has happened there yet. I can add you to that mail chain if I haven't already and you can initiate things. I can provide or suggest content for the meet.
As for skyping to other meets that is an unnecessary over complication for the organisers and I don't see any special benefit because a meet is designed for people who attend physically. |

Location: India | We had a nice meet. We started with some classics from Boldt's. Then we solved two classics, an AK, irregular and one non-consecutive anti-knight from Gareth Moore's book. But all the sudokus from Gareth Moore turned out to be very difficult and it took us about 2 and a half hour to solve just 5 sudokus. We had plans to have playoffs also but it was not possible.
Next time we'll have to think a bit on the contents. |

Its easy to help with contents. There have already been a few Bangalore meets and some of the content used there can be re-used in a Kolkata meet. Let me know the next time you plan one and we'll see what's best. |
