2021 World Sudoku+Puzzle Convention Organizer Posts: 1784 Location: India | Note: Some of you may have noticed that Amit Sowani was listed as the author for this round. Unfortunately due to time constraints he could not work on it. Fortunately, Nityant Agarwal filled in capably and we have another first time author for a PR round this year. We hope you all enjoy the collection that Nityant has prepared.

Posts: 139 Location: Estonia | Pretty interesting set of puzzles. Definitely really enjoyable one. Favourite ones were TAPA and LITS, and also Easy as LITS is pretty interesting puzzle type. Well, I believe all the estonians should love these because they are very popular puzzle types in here. Actually the others were also nice and enjoyable - just with more boring puzzle names :) The solving time of the top players is really impressive. Usually I'm somewhere double of the time comparing to the winner. But I think I understand how it works. At some point of your practice you get this intuition and enough knowledge and everywhere you find the solution really fast. I also felt that with few types, which were very easy and fast for me. But with the others you start slowly to do them and trying to understand them and time just flies :) That's where the big difference comes. And these shading puzzles are the ones where you can gain a lot of time if you are good enough. But again, big respect to the top players in here ! Edited by TiiT 2021-06-21 2:18 PM

Posts: 33 Location: Turkey | Not sure if it was efficient but my plan of distributing solving between paper and Penpa worked kinda well :) Rushed through lower pointers on computer, did some of 6-8 pointers on paper in case I needed more notation. Very fun and smooth puzzles overall. My favorites were Norinori 1, LITS 2, Kurodoko 3, Easy as LITS 2, Kurotto Connections 2. Thanks Nityant!

SM 2020 (Converse and Odd Even) Author Posts: 85 Location: India | Excellent set of Puzzles Nityant. Really enjoyed the test even though my performance was below par. My favorite sets were LITS and Easy as LITS. Regarding Kurotto Connections 1 answer submission of 3rd column, I think I misinterpreted dark circle and treated alongside shaded cells. Not sure if it can be waived.

Location: India | Thanks to the 216 participants, and the 79 finishers. Relatively high number of finishers in this round. Congratulations to Jeffrey Bardon, Endo Ken, Freddie Hand, Murat can Tonta, and Walker Anderson for taking the top 5 spots - and finishing under 30 minutes. In fact, Jeffrey Bardon's score in this test (168.15) came very close to Endo Ken's 169.817 (PR 2016/17 - Shading and Loops) and 169.483 (PR 2020- Shading and Loops). Also, Congratulations to Ashish Kumar, Swaroop Guggilam, Rajesh Kumar and Madhav Sankaranarayanan for taking the top four spots from India and completing all puzzles in time. Thanks to Nityant Agarwal for authoring this round! His debut on LMI as an author! Nice puzzles which felt human made, and were very enjoyable! Those who missed taking part in this test can still take this test unofficially.
