Posts: 12 Location: United Kingdom | In the rules for Tapa Loop, it states that the loop cannot touch itself - is diagonal touching allowed, as in the example?

Actually, before publising IB, I read the instructions, when I got the "touch" in the rules of Tapa Loop, I thought it is not necessary. Because the loop in fact can touch itself. But this "touch" is not that "touch". Tapa Loop "touch" means loop cannot pass through in any cell twice.

Because the loop in fact can touch itself. But this "touch" is not that "touch". Tapa Loop "touch" means loop cannot pass through in any cell twice. If that is the case, instead of "cross or touch", "cross or overlap" is probably a more common description as used in other loop types.

Does this mean that there may be some Island area without any clue cell? No, each island should have one clue cell. MAY should be changed to Should in the instruction. Thanks for quickly clarifying this.
