The example is uniquely solvable without that rule. |

Yes. There cannot be a 2x2 square. as circles are not allowed at intersection of four cells. |

Instead of "each region has exactly one circle that is the point of symmetry" and "not all black circles are given" (which are somewhat contradictory), use "if a region contains a black circle then it is the point of symmetry".
Instead of "a black circle may not be on the intersection of four cells", use "regions may not be 2x2 squares". |

Instead of "a black circle may not be on the intersection of four cells", use "regions may not be 2x2 squares".

For Spiral galaxies 4/5... It is an exploratory type. I am not sure if it has been there earlier as part of any contest. You can get some idea from the example given. We shall try to create another example.

I want to be clear about the time period to take the test 'Regions' : Will it be possible to take it on 30th Nov or not ?
Yes. The contest will end at 23:59 GMT on 30th November, so you can take it anytime before that.

I found this to be very easy. Some of the puzzles are simply too guessable. |
