Posts: 28 Location: Austria | @anurag: Could it be that your "total false" tapa has multiple solutions? I can replace the "24"-clue at the right border by "1" or by "111" and find solutions in both cases. edit: I also find multiple solutions for your braille tapa. Is there some mistake on my side? Posts: 315 Location: The Netherlands | swaroop2011 - 2012-02-22 10:52 PM during Test , does two different grids will be provided for tapa and mata , and same doubt for distiller It says there will be 2 grids given in the instructions for tapa and pata. For the distiller you will get 5 grids. The overlapped grid and 4 empty grids to put your puzzles in.

You just had to make the rules so my Shortest Segment Tapa was incorrect. I let the puzzle run a lot on "there has to be a minimal segment" rule. Will make something new. Luckily I hadn't posted it yet.

Posts: 315 Location: The Netherlands | For Shortest Segment Tapa: Just a small clarification as I used this in my puzzle. If there's a number on the outside, does that imply that row/column isn't empty?

Posts: 136 Location: India | Serkan's new version is a bit complicated and i do not like it much(only for a timed test). Also, unless you would like to indicate that a row is not empty, there is no point in using '1's as a clue.I would prefer to know that atleast one segment of that length has to be there.

CTC & TVC Author & Organizer Posts: 183 Location: Turkey | Para - 2012-02-23 1:20 AM For Shortest Segment Tapa: Just a small clarification as I used this in my puzzle. If there's a number on the outside, does that imply that row/column isn't empty? Yes. If there is a outside clue (sure it will be) it means that there must appear some blackened blocks.

Posts: 136 Location: India | Why would you want to confuse the solver with a clue if the row was empty.

Posts: 315 Location: The Netherlands | anurag - 2012-02-23 1:30 AM Why would you want to confuse the solver with a clue if the row was empty. Well it could be possible for a row to only contain 1 and 2 segment pieces because of clues or other parts of the wall and by putting a 3 there you could force the whole row to remain empty. Which wouldn't have to be the case if that 3 wasn't there. But it doesn't apply here, just showing how it could be helpful if the option was there. That's the real panache: You share everything you know, then you win the tournament, and then you say: "I proved that I'm the best !", (and then perhaps everyone hate you)

Posts: 315 Location: The Netherlands | I forgot to comment on this after finishing as it had slipped my mind after all the puzzling. When printing the Tapa Guard, Braille Tapa and Anglers puzzle didn't fit completely on the page for me. Was I the only one having this problem or did others have this happen?

Posts: 12 Location: United States | I had the same issue that Para described on all of the pages he mentioned. I also seem to have issues with submitting correct answers and with submitting them before the penalty time runs out, but I doubt there's any help for me there...

Posts: 12 Location: United States | I am not sure how to edit my previous post, but I also noticed that the second Shortest Segment puzzle had the bottom row of outside digits missing on my printout as well. That would've certainly helped to notice during the test...
