2021 World Sudoku+Puzzle Convention Organizer Posts: 1844 Location: India | Would practice the next time to make it better....:) I see this said a lot, I just want to note something. Most of the top solvers practice throughout the year. There are contests which are very accessible using the LMI Monthly Contest - http://logicmastersindia.com/forum/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=60&st... page or the downloads pages http://logicmastersindia.com/lmitests/downloads.asp?testType=10 which all have archived PDFs of contests with all the details you need to test yourself on them. There are links given on this page to other sites too - http://logicmastersindia.com/home/?g=links . So there is an abundance of content to practice and there are contests like the GP and Mahabharat which run throughout the year. People ask me a lot about how long I practice - the answer is I rarely ever solve a Sudoku outside of competition(I count the dailies as competition)/testing. Even when I was starting out the only Sudoku I have practiced at length is Killer. But I gave time to participating in all the contests I could. As the current Times Champion (at least until 2nd August ), I feel I should post something like this - if you just missed the top rankings and you just solved ToI's Sudokus or practiced for a month (or so) in preparation, then you clearly have talent because, even with that level of preparation you are near solvers who are participating in contests throughout the year. Imagine where you could be with that kind of participation (which only takes a 90 minute stretch on a weekend typically). This isn't for the one who I quoted in particular, it is a general note for anyone who barely misses out on the regional rounds. Even to The other solvers, you may have the potential and just not know it and in general these contests are free and fun, so its a win-win situation.

Mumbai article: http://epaperbeta.timesofindia.com/Article.aspx?eid=31804&articlexm... Thanks Rakesh for the links. I have always felt the Delhi article beats all other editions in giving more insights into the winners and more detailed. Agree. Plus, the Mumbai article keeps referring to Amit in plural for some reason. He is either 'Puzzle creators' or 'Puzzle partners'. At least Deb is 'from puzzle partners' So I became "plural" this time in Chennai - http://epaperbeta.timesofindia.com/Article.aspx?eid=31807&articlexm... Quite possibly, the text was copied from Mumbai edition.

I still feel, if they are gonna misquote you anyway, the least they could do is go with "cloud nine" and keep the Sudoku theme. Seventh Heaven seems so random.

For Delhi and Mumbai it took about a week to post them. You also need to consider that the organizers will have to prioritize getting the National finals ready for the 2nd of August, so I estimate a week or so here too probably.

Now that all regional rounds are over, any chance if the sudokus from all rounds can be put on LMI if TOI allows ? TSC puzzles are never posted on LMI due to some constraints. Otherwise, it would've definitely been made available. You know how openly LMI works :-)
