You can have two darts on the same number. That's unfortunate as it makes the "99" in the example non-unique and also trivial with the repeats. If you are truly trying to replicate the game of darts by allowing repeats, is it also possible to "miss the board" with any dart? If so 101 is very reachable.

Location: India | Update on Accurate Darts : We'll stick to standard Darts puzzle, where all three numbers have to be different. Also all darts must hit the board

Location: India | Screen Test will start in few minutes from now. Some key points : Please read the instructions for each puzzle carefully before starting the test. The instruction for the example and for the actual puzzle is exactly same. You get bonus points only if you move to the next puzzle. Your bonus time is computed from when you moved to the next puzzle. There is -ve points for wrong answers, so avoid heavy guessing [ Changes since Screen Test #1 There is no review period. Instead, the time allocated for each puzzle is increased. There is an option to play 'alarm' 10 seconds before your timer runs out. Time between 2 puzzles is increased to 25 seconds. ]

Posts: 31 Location: United States | I wish I had some idea what a good score was! Isn't it true that in other LMI tests, once you finish you get to see where you rank among the scores so far? I feel like I did reasonably well but I really have no standard for comparison. Thanks for a fun test! I've never done one of these before, and the puzzle types were interesting, including a few that really make more sense to do this (visual) way.

Location: India | First of all, you have done extremely well - you are ranked 2nd as of now, as you can see from ST2 page ( http://logicmastersindia.com/ST/ST2/ ) It is not our intention to keep the overall scores secret :-) As I posted earlier there is a minor problem, and because of that standard flash score page is still not in place. Allow us few more hours to have the complete score page in place.

Posts: 1 Location: United States | A fun test, but I wish the scoring rules had been included in the instruction booklet. I wouldn't have randomly guessed on the ones I was about to run out of time on. (Never mind, they were, they just took up less space because they didn't have the formula spelled out, so I missed them. My fault.) Edited by garzahd 2011-11-02 6:15 PM

Posts: 31 Location: United States | Hi, I am new here, so perhaps my mistake is not something that a frequent player would make, but I thought I'd mention anyway - There was a link that said "Examples/instructions" which I clicked on, assuming that this was a practice test (both for puzzle types/instructions and format of entering answers on screen tests). So when I finished it, I clicked on the "start test" button to take the real test. Imagine my surprise when it told me that I had already completed it! Edited by RALehrer 2011-11-02 8:41 PM

I'm bit surprised you say that because as per the records you have taken the test with X correct and 2 incorrect answer. Edit : I guess you wanted to say that "Examples/instructions" shouldn't have pointed to the actual test. If yes, I agree with you. Edited by debmohanty 2011-11-02 9:16 PM

Posts: 42 Location: United States | My first screen test -- fun! To improve pleasure in future screen tests, I suggest options to reduce unwanted waiting: 1). Allow "Next Puzzle" without selecting an answer. I picked a totally random answer for a few questions because I didn't relish waiting (and assessed my prospects of finding the right answer quickly enough very low). I see no harm in allowing questions to be skipped without penalty, and forcing a long wait to do so is almost punitive. 2). Allow the initial wait (for puzzle to appear) to be manually ended. These options would just reduce total time in the contest. I think these would increase pleasure without hurting test results. Thanks!

Posts: 4 Location: Sweden | Enjoyed the puzzles as well. 1) Agree with your comment about removing the wait between puzzles. But it might well have made performance better :) 2) Would be nice to see a pdf-version after the contest. 3) Hope you will make an iPad app one day with this kind of puzzles :)

Posts: 11 Location: Canada | Enjoyable as always - and a bit more relaxing than Eger is sure to be. One issue I had was not realizing that unsubmitted selections would be taken at the 80 second mark. That is to say that I didn't realize I had to unselect an answer I'd thought about but chose not to submit/hit next puzzle.

Posts: 1 Location: United States | Agreed, this test concept was very enjoyable. I did run into a glitch with the test system at Careless Arrows. I picked an answer then noticed it was wrong before submitting. I changed my response back to "Select answer". When time ran out on the puzzle, the system had trouble registering the answer, and a Submit Again button would show up every 20 seconds or so with no other options. I would try that button and this looped for a couple of minutes. When it finally cleared from that puzzle, I was skipped ahead all the way to the Tapa puzzle and then skipped again to the final question. Didn't get to try 8 puzzles. I'm sure it was just a quirky glitch (or an IE issue) but it might be good to have a None response in the choices or a Next Puzzle button for ST3. Good luck in Eger!

PR 2020 (Shading and Loops) Author Posts: 668 Location: India | enjoyed a lot.. Some puzzles has to guessed which of course went wrong for me but it was nice experience. hope to do better in ST3. Just to confirm there was no option to get back to previous question right. Because one puzzle it was timed out (i didnt attempted the answer) and i thought it would come back here after all 20 puzzles. And one more thing is this gonna be included in LMI puzzle ratings..( i am asking as there was no checkbox which says Include this into my puzzle ratings or so). thanks rohan & deb.
