2021 World Sudoku+Puzzle Convention Organizer Posts: 1844 Location: India | I really need to learn how to use the printer :| Also probably not a good idea to give the test tonight, still need to work on my patience. Anyway, some really nice puzzles, will need to get back to all the ones I solved wrong. :P

Posts: 31 Location: United States | Wow, lots of fun puzzles, thanks! I'm pleased that I turned one in with about 30 seconds left on the clock in part B. I hope I got it right. One small correction, perhaps: It seemed like several times the input instructions said "row" when they meant "column" based on what was drawn on the paper.

Posts: 31 Location: United States | Hm, after part A the score page seemed to load just fine but now that I'm done with part B it's all showing up blank?

Posts: 31 Location: United States | Now it seems like about half the time when I reload, it comes up blank, and the other half it gives me all the information as usual. (Of course, I only get to test once per hour or so.)

Now it seems like about half the time when I reload, it comes up blank, and the other half it gives me all the information as usual. (Of course, I only get to test once per hour or so.) As admin, I can always see the results. So didn't realize that there is a problem.

Posts: 139 Location: Estonia | I also didn't see the results page after I completed the test - table was blank. So I've no idea how many puzzles I solved correctly, and how many not. Well, I can see the results in 22-nd of May when I come back from China. Until then the excitement stays... Puzzles were nice, except I didn't like pencilmarks so much. Probably, because I spent so much time on it:)

Posts: 5 Location: The Netherlands | Is there something wrong with the order of results when people have the same total score? E.g: hunterkok is placed 56th, I am 57th, same total score, but I used less time (for both parts), so should the order not be reversed? Same problem for Psyho vs caudmont (16th/17th), wielki_m vs takeya (41st/42nd) and agabum vs ThomasKostolany (49th/50th). I didn't look any further down the list.

Location: India | Congratulations to Ulrich, Jan, Kota for topping in Sudoku 8X8. This is Ulrich's best rank (among the few Sudoku tests he has played) at LMI. Of 235 players from 33 countries, 196 players got non-zero scores. Thank you everyone for participating. I hope everyone enjoyed the 8X8 Sudokus Matus and Zuzana presented. Rohan, Tejal and Jaipal are the top 3 Indian performers.

WCPN Author Posts: 191 Location: The Netherlands | Thanks for the test! I enjoyed GT consecutive and X-sums the most. Even after solving some extra practice puzzles I was not too happy with my result. That is not caused by the puzzles, but by a too short night after a very nice rock-concert on saturday evening. Incredible performances again by the top solvers! I hardly believed what I saw when I opened the score-page... Congratulations to all top players!

Diagonal Vision Author Posts: 337 Location: Switzerland | Note to myself: When you play at the speed of a snail, when you do some mistakes somewhere in the 4 connected grids (so every code you send is wrong and you haven't time to start it again), when you send a code of a grid 2 times instead of sending the code of the grid you solved correctly and when, at the end of a round, you don't send the code of the grid you just solved correctly, thinking you have time to solve another one before the end of the round (and of course you don't have enough time to solve another), you can not expect to make a good result ! Otherwise, it was an enjoyable test Fred

WCPN Author Posts: 191 Location: The Netherlands | Richard - 2012-05-15 4:58 PM I enjoyed GT consecutive and X-sums the most. I liked the idea of the X-sums sudoku very much so I have made two puzzles of this type for this weeks Friday-noon-puzzle at Logic Masters Germany. You can find them here: Easy 7x7 and Harder 9x9. Have fun with these.
