Thanks. Please confirm timings too, so that all participants can plan ahead

As I said earlier, the small window part is an essential component of our testing, so the timings will be the same as the plan was if the contest had gone ahead today (6.30 PM to 8.30 PM). The notice part was a good point and that is all that has changed.

Ganesh, you can directly participate.
Do ensure you go through the FAQ ( https://logicmastersindia.com/forum/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=2773 ) before you start the test.

I understand the short time window is needed as a test of the new system. But I do hope that going forward, future contests at LMI will return to having a 3-4 day window, which is much more practical for those of us who have to find time for puzzles around work and family constraints.

All tests are having an official time window of more than 5 days currently - from Friday some time to Wednesday end of day. This will continue.

This test is an exception.

As it is a test, my first feeling with the new system is that it seems to work, but the submitting has less pity than before. If I double click by mistake on "submit" (or I reclick because there was some delay and I thought it wasn't good on the first time), it is counted as a bad answer. If I submit an answer that can't be a valid one (highlighted in red), it is counted as a bad answer, and that wasn't the case before.

Hello,
the password was not visible when I use Firefox as a browser. It was only visible with Internet Explorer. I do not know if others had similar problems.

Unofficial participation

The "official" part of the test is now over. Those who have started the test so far will be ranked officially. Thanks to the 133 participants.

Those who could not take part earlier can always start the test "unofficially" and solve it like a normal timed test.

What do you do when the solution is given in a contest by mistake. Nothing. I just skipped the Thermo. Didn't feel like just entering the digits without solving.

Well, you can't claim a time bonus if you skip a puzzle, so I just entered it. I figured everyone could just do that, so it would be fair.

If a puzzle has 80 digits, you would enter the 81st and say it is solved. If a puzzle has 81 digits, is recognizing that it does and is solved also "solving it"?

I don't know but what I do know is sometimes these things happen and its best to just put in the answer and reflect over it later.

Hello,

here is the screenshot. Maybe it is a configuration issue in Firefox.
